Kinabalu Hideaway

scenery from waterfront
Alrait peeps...how is everything goin on there? Hmm have u been waiting for my next stories..? oh my god i'm soo honored. Hehe maksa banget ya...Anw i wanna tell you about my trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in Malaysia that i had last week. It was supposed tobe like a 10 days trip or sumthin but it's turned tobe just 3 days and two nights. Lho apa yang terjadi ohim..? Hmm i just realized that this ten days in the small city like Kota Kinabalu is too much. It isnt like you are going to Phuket or Bali, which there are so many thing that u can do there. But it's Kinabalu for god sake, nothing much to do here beside Climbing the Kinabalu mountain and island hopping.
I surely didn't eager to do the climbing since it's costs alot of effort and money. I heard that you have to pay like US $ 150 to climb the Kinabalu Mountain and 6 months reservation needed. Halooooo even in Indonesia where thousand of mountains lies and stood tall just like that and definitely free i dont really climb it. It will be like a "so not me at all" if i push my self to climb the Kinabalu mountain. Paying to climb the mountain wud be the craziest idea and it against my traveling policies. So after the 2 hours and several bumpy flight i finally landed perfectly. Yup the airport is quiet small but comfy. Kota Kinabalu is located in Borneo, it is in neighbour to Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia. For many thing in social activity the locals are pretty much like Indonesian. (yaiyalaaaaaah secara ber-tetanggaan bukan). The city is moderately compact and centralized. It took only one hour for compleeting the city tour.
As i said there's not much to do here, so after i get bored of the city i decided to go to some island. Sapi Island and Manukan Island are the two of five islands i visited. The island are under the administration of the Sabah Parks authority named Tuanku Abdul Razak Marine Park, it is nearby to the mainland. It was a quiet simple trip, you just have to pay for 23 RM for one island, and another 10 RM for another one extra island, quiet affordable isnt it ?.
Sapi Island
The best thing in this trip is yet they run the water transportation very professionaly. Everything was soo in order. It was soo on time, they will give you and push you to wear the life vest due to local safety regulation. They will never add passengers more than the speed boat availibity. We should learn about this from them. It took 20 minutes of boating to the Manukan island. I was shocked with the beauty of the island. The water is clear and transparent. Thousand of small fishes swimming around here and there as if they're doing some welcoming dance for me...yuhuuuuuuuuu i love it, i love it alot.
Manukan Island
Althought it's pretty much like a "mini" Gili Trawangan in Lombok Indonesia, but yes swimming in this island is just like the best thing that ever happened in this Kinabalu trip. Almost two hours had gone, from my arrival in this awesome island,  now it's about time for me to visit another island called "Sapi Island". I dont know why did they named this island as Sapi island. Even after several time of interview with the locals, they didnt really know where was this Sapi island name came from. I my self didn't see any sapi here.
Yes this island is also beautiful. the water, the scenery is also gorgeous though. I decided to rent some woven floor made from plastic just to lay back a while. Drinking coconut, snacking whateva, listening to the wind blows. Playing with the white perfect sands, soaking up the sun, yup this is exactly what i called  heaven.
